10 Horror Movies For Halloween

10 Horror Movies For Halloween

Are you ready for Halloween?  As is tradition every year I select and recommend 10 Horror Movies For Halloween, all of this year’s films are available on Blu-ray in the UK.

Furthermore I have reviewed all of these movies on the website.  I’ve gone for a mix of old and new so there really should be something for everyone.

Right let’s get started and I have added movie trailers where possible.

Get Out (2017)

This film is all about race but done in as horror film serring.  Chris, a black man travels to meet his white girlfriend’s family.  Upon arriving he realises that the colour of his skin and his physical attributes is all the family seems to talk about.

It’s available now on Blu-ray

Creepshow (1982)

Five short stories written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero

The Hills Have Eyes (1977)

  • Written & Directed by Wes Craven

I’ll be honest this film is incredibly disturbing even now.  A family take a trip into the desert in search of an old mine but when their vehicle breaks down they are left stranded in a place you really don’t ever want to be.

Lights Out (2016)

Are you afraid of the dark?  Well you should be if you happen to see this creepy woman when you switch those lights off.

The Burning (1981) (Slasher Horror)

  • Directed by Tony Maylam

Have you heard of Cropsy? He just happens to be the caretaker at Camp Blackfoot, that is until a prank played on him by some teenagers goes wrong leaving him badly burned. I’m sure he will get over it and move on with his life or maybe not!

Halfway through our 10 Horror Movies For Halloween

Stonehearst Asylum (2014)

  • Directed by Brad Anderson

When Dr Edward Newgate visits Stonehearst Asylum he discovers the lunatics have taken over the asylum, however that is just one of Dr. Silas Lamb’s methods to treat his patients.

It Follows (2014)

  • Directed by David Robert Mitchell
  • Starring Maika Monroe, Keir Gilchrist, Daniel Zovatto, Jake Weary

Whatever it is you really don’t want if following you because if it ever catches you it will kill you.

Phantasm (1979)
