Actress Margot Kidder dies aged 69

It’s been reported by various news outlets including the BBC that actress Margot Kidder has died aged 69 at her home in Livingston, Montana on Sunday (13.5.2018).

She is probably best known for playing Lois Lane in the Superman films in the late seventies and early eighties. Other roles included playing Kathy Lutz in horror movie The Amityville Horror (1979) and Barb Coard in another horror Black Christmas (1974).

Born 17 October 1948 in Canada she obtained American citizenship in 2005. She appeared in various films over the years with her last film credit coming in The Neighborhood (2017) a Canadian drama. But it will be her iconic portrayal of Lois Lane that many will remember her fondly for.
