It’s that time of the week when I take a look at the new Blu-ray releases out this week in the United Kingdom. One of this week’s highlights is the television sci-fi comedy series, Red Dwarf XII
- Black Friday Best Buys
- Last Week’s Blu-ray Releases
- UK Top 10 Cinema Charts
- Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk heading to Blu-ray in December 2017
Only one television series out on Blu-ray this week and its Red Dwarf XII as I mentioned earlier, and if you have like me just finished watching it on television channel Dave you will know this is an exceptionally good series. Basically it’s a must buy for all science fiction comedy fans.
Moving on to films and this week we have a couple of good releases from Powerhouse Film’s Indicator label with Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) which the story was written by horror legend John Carpenter. Their other release is also a very good title, Wolf (1994) starring Jack Nicholson & Michele Pfeiffer.
Arrow Video have John Carpenter’s The Thing (1984) now available, the special edition came out earlier this year and sold out straight away. If you missed out on that then you will be pleased to know the all the disc based content is the same as that special edition.
Eureka Entertainment has a 3 film Buster Keaton boxset out having been delayed by a couple of weeks previously. Fans of Spider-Man will be pleased as Sony Pictures releases Spider-Man Homecoming (2017) as well as a film I’m more interested in, Jabberwocky (1977) from director Terry Gilliam and starring Michael Palin.
Signal One Entertainment have an interesting title out this week, Deadfall (1968) starring Michael Caine.
Those are the main highlights of the week’s new releases, there are of course several titles I’ve not mention, I’ll add those below in the Amazon links.
