Studiocanal are set to release Frieda (1947) on Blu-ray & DVD this July in the UK on their “Vintage Classics” label.
A RAF pilot is shot down during World War II and held at a German prisoner of war camp. However when he returns home to a small English village he brings with him his new bride, a German woman named Frieda.
The film is directed by Basil Dearden and stars David Farrar, Mai Zetterling, Glynis Johns, Flora Robson and Albert Lieven.
