Godzilla roars into UK and American cinemas this week. We are in blockbuster season after all. Next week also has one but let’s concentrate on the present big releases. Booksmart directed by Olivia Wilde is another new film out in the United Kingdom. It’s also one that has received a lot of positive reviews. Booksmart is a coming of age movie directed by Olivia Wilde. It tells the story of two academic superstars. They also just happen to be best friends. On the eve of their high school graduation they suddenly realise maybe they have missed out on the social side of school.
They decide they will cram four years of fun into just one night. That way that feel they won’t fall behind their peers.

Final Thought – Cinema Releases 31 May 2019 – & Box Office
There’s nothing to be honest that we would really recommend seeing this week. Godzilla: King Of The Monsters and Booksmart should give the teenage cinema-goer something to enjoy.
It will also be interesting to see how well Rocketman goes down in the States. It did exceptionally well in the UK last week. Not however quite as well as the Queen film, Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) did on its opening weekend.
Aladdin tops both the UK and USA top 10 box office films this week. That comes despite the many mixed reviews the film received prior to release.
UK Blu-ray & DVD Charts
M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass (2019), a psychological thriller superhero film, tops both the UK Blu-ray and DVD Charts. Other new entries include Mary Queen of Scots (2018), 633 Squadron and Trapped Alive. You can find the all of the new releases in the charts below
