Comment by Dr. Loomis (Cinema Releases March 2 2018)
The thriller Red Sparrow starring Jennifer Lawrence is a very interesting looking film and gets my vote for watch to watch this week at UK cinemas.
If I lived in America I would of course be taking a look at the remake of Death Wish starring Bruce Willis. Personally I wished (pun intended) they had not called it Death Wish. There really is no need to spoil things by having it inevitably compared to the classic Charles Bronson films.
Those films will always be Death Wish no matter if the new version is half decent, surely it’s better to give the new film its own identity after all the general plot of the films is one of revenge by becoming a vigilante is hardly original. Shame on you film producers!
