The film trailer for Halloween 2018 has just been released, it shows a new tough Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) gearing up to do battle with her old nemesis Michael Myers. This film disregards all of the previous sequels as it aims at rebooting the franchise. Thankfully John Carpenter whilst not directing has had some limited involvement that includes providing the films score and being listed as an executive producer along with Jamie Lee Curtis.

Rob Zombie had previously attempted to reboot the series in 2007 and 2009 with mixed success, many fans of the John Carpenter film didn’t like the way in which Zombie’s film tried to explain why Michael Myers was such a monster, making him into the victim.
Directed by David Gordon Green, Halloween 2018 hits cinemas this October 19.
