Kicking off October is the excellent classic British horror film, Night of the Demon (1957) from director Jacques Tourneur. Starring Dana Andrews, Peggy Cummins & Niall MacGinnis, this is a must see / have for any classic horror fan. You may know this film under its American title Curse of the Demon thankfully Powerhouse Films are giving us four presentations of the film including the BFI’s 2013 2K restoration of the 96 minute version. I’ve added the film trailer at the bottom of the page.
The boxset of four of director William Castle’s films includes The Tingler (1959) starring Vincent Price, 13 Ghosts (1960) with Charles Herbert, Jo Morrow, Rosemary DeCamp, Martin Milner & Donald Woods. The remaining two films are Homicidal (1961) starring Jean Arless and Mr. Sardonicus (1961) featuring Oskar Homolka, Ronald Lewis, Audrey Dalton, Guy Rolfe & Vladimir Sokoloff.
A pretty good boxset all in all and it’s only volume one, stay tuned for news of the next volume.
