Popcorn Cinema Show takes a look at the Movie Releases This Week (March 11 2016) for the UK, US, Australia and New Zealand at the cinema, plus all the weeks film news. So what’s out? Well coming to the UK cinemas this week are The Witch and Kung Fu Panda 3.

Meanwhile in the US we have the thriller 10 Cloverfield Lane but first lets start with the weeks most interesting movie news.

Film News

Schwarzenegger in new Predator movie?

According to an article on Digital Spy Arnold Schwarzenegger says he is due to have a meeting with Shane Black who is making a new or rebooted Predator film. As to what role he may play is anyone’s guess but what would be the point of a cameo.

Schwarzenegger says in the article that he is also in talks about Conan “If there is any news, we’ll of course let you know right away. There’s also a meeting coming up soon about Conan, about the project moving forward.”

We will keep an eye on both of these stories and update you when the meetings have taken place.

Robert Englund in new Horror movie?

The Wrap.com report that Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger from the Nightmare on Elm Street film is due to appear in a new horror movie The Midnight Man. Midnight Man is based on an old Pagan ritual called The Midnight Game.

Englund of course has a long association with the horror genre with movies such as Wishmaster, The Mangler as well as many other smaller budget film.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant (Action Adventure Sci-fi)

This is the third instalment of the Divergent series.  Following on from the revelations of INSURGENT, Tris has to escape along with Four going beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the city and of course their families.


The Witch (Horror)

New England circa 1630, when a farmer is cast out of his colonial plantation he is forced to move his family to a remote plot of land on the edge of a forest that is rumoured to be controlled by witches.

Straight away strange things begin to happen, such as the animals turning violent, the crops failing , and most worrying of all one of the children disappears and then returns seemingly possessed by an evil spirit.
