Plot
Roman J. Israel is a lawyer at a small law firm at which he only earns $500 a week. He does most of the background work but rarely goes to court. However following the death of his business partner he is left looking for job. Roman is a guy that only wants to do what is right in the world. Money is not a motivating factor, however when faced with the fact he only has one job offer he is forced to join the corporate way of operating. Clearly Roman’s way and the tough corporate law firm aren’t suited; surely something’s going to have to give.

The films directed by Dan Gilroy whilst the cinematography is handled by Robert Elswit.

Every now and then a film comes along that really surprises you in a good way. The Shawshank Redemption is an example. Well Roman J. Israel, Esq is another you can add to that list. I doubt many will have seen it but it’s one you really do need to watch.
This is Denzel Washington like you have never seen him before and he’s amazing. The film itself is riveting and compelling as many other reviews have already stated. I really do urge you to find the time to see Roman J. Israel, Esq.
In essence Roman J. Israel is a guy we really wish there were more of but that’s not to say he’s immune to the lure of wealth and luxury.
