- Seven (1995) – Blu-ray
- Thriller

- Music By Howard Shore
- Stars: Brad Pitt ; Morgan Freeman ; Kevin Spacey ; John C. McGinley ; Gwyneth Paltrow

Plot
Have you seen the film, well Seven or as it is sometimes shown SE7EN on the artwork, is dark thriller about a serial killer who decides to kill seven people for seven deadly sins and in seven different ways. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman play the two cops out to stop the killer. However the killer is playing a game leaving clues at each crime scene, but can they catch him before he kills all seven.
Seven has you gripped right from the start of the movie with Morgan Freeman playing the older wiser cop, Detective Lieutenant William Somerset and Brad Pitt as the inpatient younger guy, Detective David Mills. This works very well as they have really good chemistry between them.
Gwyneth Paltrow plays Brad Pitts wife but a heads up she is not really in the movie that much. Morgan Freeman is outstanding and Brad Pitt is also puts in a very good performance.
Acting
Morgan Freeman is outstanding in his role and really does take this film to the next level. A young Brad Pitt plays very well against Freeman making this a joy to watch.
In fact everybody in Seven puts in either good or great performances.
A truly great thriller with a great cast.
Conclusion: Seven Movie Review (Blu-ray Version)
A very good film with a tense ending as you might expect and it certainly doesn’t disappoint in this area.
What we have here is a great story which is well acted and well directed. What more could you want from a movie?
Blu-ray
It should be noted this film has been upgraded for Blu-ray and I have to say it looks fantastic. Now I know the film is not really old (1995) but it certainly benefits from being on the Blu-ray.
If you seen it before you know how good it is, but as I say it’s even better now on Blu-ray. So why not treat yourself to this nineties classic this weekend.
Now restored it’s time to re-visit this classic!
