The full film trailer for Solo A Star Wars Story finally arrived this week and with it came the loud sound of alarm bells. First off its always difficult to judge a film off a trailer, I’ve seen plenty of trailers that bear little to no resemblance to the actually film.
That said it all looks far too cringe worthy especially the acting by Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo. For those of you who don’t know Solo A Star Wars is all about the adventures of young Solo and his sidekick partner Chewbacca. The adventure will see Han encounter a certain Lando Calrissian.
Solo A Star Wars Story: Main Cast
Woody Harrelson plays Tobias Beckett a sort of mentor to Han. Other key characters are played by Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Thandie Newton as Val and Phoebe Waller-Bridge as L3-37.
Going purely off the trailer I’d have to say I’m more than a little worried and think this could well be bit of a disaster. Personally I think Disney need to slow down a little and not keep having annual Star Wars movies. I get it that pretty much any Star Wars film will make a huge amount of money. The last one The Last Jedi brought in over $600 million in the US alone but I for one am beginning to feel a little Star Wars fatigue rather than excitement.
In any case we can all find out on 25th May 2018 when the film opens in both the UK and America.
