In 2022 Sony released the excellent Bravia XR A95K (available in 55 & 65 inches) which won several awards for being the best television on the market. Well now Sony has a new flagship OLED, the Bravia XR A95L Series and it promises to be even more impressive.
Sony Bravia XR A95L
The Sony Bravia XR A95L Series is available in three sizes, 55, 65 and a new 77 inch. Now I should point out these televisions aren’t cheap so most of us, me included, will simply have to add them to our wishlists.
So I’ll get the pricing out of the way straight away, the 55″ is £2999, 65″ £3699 and the 77″ a staggering £5999.
However this does mean there’s likely to be some better deals on the 2022 Bravia XR A95K. At the time of writing the A95K 55 inch is available for £1999 and the 65 inch £2799.
The Bravia XR A95L is shipping from the 28th September 2023.
What makes this version better than the previous television? This is Sony’s second-generation QD-OLED TV and they say the picture is significantly brighter, gaming features improved and the user interface has been enhanced.

Blacks, Brightness & Contrast
Sony claim this to be their brightest ever OLED. “With a temperature sensor, high luminance panel and heat diffusion sheet for dissipating heat, this TV detects screen temperature and precisely controls light to deliver 200% as much brightness as its predecessor.”

Audio
Sony’s Acoustic Surface Audio+ has the sound coming through the screen for a truly immersive experience. They say “The screen vibrates, turning every part of it into a speaker for powerful acoustics that perfectly match the picture.” This can also be combined with a seperate soundbar.

For those not choosing to wall mount the stand is adjustable allowing a soundbar to be added underneath the television.
