I thoroughly enjoyed the first Equalizer film from 2014 but how about the 2018 sequel? Does it build upon the first movie by delving further into Robert McCall’s character? Well I think it’s time to find out, so without further ado here’s The Equalizer 2 blu-ray review.

Plot
Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) finds himself revisiting old friends following the murder of a close friend/colleague. However the reunion might not be as happy affair as he may have hoped for.
Style / Direction
The films directed by Antoine Fuqua whilst the cinematography is handled by Oliver Wood. Like the first film the sequel feels very well made especially the action sequences.
Music / Audio Effects
The music score comes from Harry Gregson-Williams.
Acting / Characters
Denzel Washington is yet again on top form as The Equalizer 2 looks deeper into his characters background.

Conclusion: The Equalizer 2 (2018) Film Review
The Equalizer 2 builds on the first film by digging deeper into Robert McCall’s background. This makes the film far more personal than the first outing. It does this whilst still delivering a fantastically entertaining story. Will there be a third film? I think there is still enough there worth exploring so I sure hope so.
