Plot

Actor Foster Twelvetrees (Frankie Howerd) is invited to perform at a large country house owned by the Henderson family. He arrives on a stormy night and the reception he receives is far from warm.

Style / Direction

The films directed by Peter Sykes whilst Ian Wilson is responsible for the cinematography.

Music / Audio Effects

The music is provided by Harry Robinson and perfectly reflects the comedy horror tone.

Acting / Characters

Decent performances all-round make this an enjoyable comedy horror, but its Frankie Howerd’s film and he really does steal the show.

The House in Nightmare Park is an enjoyable comedy horror that’s certainly well worth a look. If you are a fan of Frankie Howerd its no doubt a must have on Bluray.

There are a few small white marks that occur from time to time but overall this is a pretty decent print. It sure would have been nice to see this film fully restored but sadly that’s not the case. That said I would still strongly recommend upgrading from the DVD version.
