Jackie Chan’s The Killer Meteors Blu-ray arrives this June

88 Films are due to release the Jackie Chan / Jimmy Wang Yu action / martial arts film The Killer Meteors (1976) on blu-ray this June. In fact The Killer Meteors Blu-ray is just one of many recent Jackie Chan high definition releases.

The action thriller film is from director Wei Lo and tells the story of local hero Mei Xing He (Jimmy Wang Yu) and his invincibility owing to his secret weapon.

There’s no mention of any restoration work with 88 Film’s merely stating “2K Transfer from Original Film Materials” and “High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) presentation”.

That probably means a sharper image but with some specks of dirt. However we won’t know until we take a look at this release.
