It’s time to look at a comedy sequel starring Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau from 1998. This is The Odd Couple II blu-ray review which has not yet a UK release but can be obtained via the US release which is indeed region free. Can these two movie legends recreate the magic of Felix and Oscar from 1968? You bet they can!

Having not seen each other for 17 years fate has brought Felix Ungar and Oscar Madison back together via their children. The two old friends come together on road trip to wedding and you can bet it won’t be a straightforward journey or reunion.
Style / Direction
The Odd Couple II (1998) is the sequel to the excellent 1968 comedy The Odd Couple. It’s a road film that allows the two friends to become involved in many hilarious situations and this all works very well.

The music is comes from Alan Silvestri and there’s plenty of the Odd Couple’s theme tune thrown in which really makes the film come to life.

If you’ve enjoyed my The Odd Couple II blu-ray review so far you may want to check out the following films:

Conclusion: The Odd Couple II Blu-ray Review
I’ve no issues with the picture quality it’s excellent, a nice sharp, clean print and the colours look right. The only downsides right now are the fact the film is yet to receive a UK blu-ray release meaning you have to obtain the US region free version plus there are no extras included.
To be honest as long as the image quality is excellent I can forgive any release a lack of extras features.
