The BBC is releasing The Young Ones The Complete Collection Blu-ray this November 2022 in the UK.
This is a 40th Anniversary Edition boxset that contains all the episodes plus a bunch of news special features.
The BBC say that “These episodes have been restored and remastered using the existing film where available, with any standard definition content upscaled during this process.”
That means the picture quality may vary between the different elements but should be a big improvement over the current DVD.
The Young Ones ran for 12 episodes over two series from 1982-1984.

Hopefully this blu-ray upgrade will take the picture quality to another level.
The BBC has managed to do a great job with the classic Doctor Who seasons and Only Fools and Horses 80’s Specials on blu-ray so hopefully this will also look terrific.
