Fans of Alf Garnett are in for a treat as writer Johnny Speight’s film Till Death Us Do Part (1968) starring Warren Mitchell has been fully restored by Network and is out now on both Blu-ray and DVD. It came out a few days ago on the 28 January 2018 and I confirm that the picture quality on the Blu-ray version is excellent.
The film see’s Alf and wife Else (Dandy Nichols) go through the Second World War and finishes in 1968. Along the way their have a daughter Rita (Una Stubbs) who subsequently gets married to Mike (Antony Booth).
Also worth mentioning is a newly recovered episode from the original BBC TV Series that had previously thought to have been lost, the episode titled Sex Before Marriage unseen since the 1960s is included as an extra.
You can purchase direct from Network or via Amazon.co.uk, I’ll link to both.
