It’s that time of the week when we take a quick look at what movies are hot at the UK Box Office. These figures are for UK Box Office August 4 2017.

For a third week one film dominates UK cinemas, Christopher Nolan’s epic Second World War story Dunkirk. It’s been another massive hit at UK cinemas over the weekend with box office takings of ££4,624,570.
As I seem to say every week Warner Bros should be happy with the UK cinema takings. Compare it against the second placed film and new entry The Emoji Movie and its takings of £2,702,809 you can see just how well Dunkirk is performing.
Elsewhere the sci-fi adventure Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (Great title!) enters the UK cinema chart in third position taking a respectable £1,861,916.
However it’s bad news for last week’s number two Captain Underpants falling to number 8 with disappointing second week takings of only £594,874.
