So none of the new entries make it to the top but we do indeed have a new number one film at the UK box office. The force may well be weakening as Star Wars: The Last Jedi drops to number two with cinema takings of £3,543,117, which is still impressive. Furthermore Disney’s sci-fi adventure now has gross to date takings of a massive £76,723,930.
That all means the that Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle moves up to top spot taking £3,895,450 and total takings after three weeks on release of £26,272,798 which should certainly keep Sony Pictures happy.
Elsewhere Paddington 2 (due out in America this week) falls from five to seven but still manages to take £1,034,372 at the UK box office with total earnings of £40,415,771 after nine weeks on release.
