There were three main new releases in cinemas across the UK last week but could any of them manage to take the coveted number place? There are three new films inside this week’s top 10 with the blockbuster Pacific Rim: Uprising the highest entry coming in at number two with box office takings of over £1.6 million. That means that Peter Rabbit remain top for a second week with impressive cinema takings of just under £4.6 million which should keep Sony Pictures happy.

Looking at the other two new entries sees Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time enter this weeks film chart at only number six having already performed very well in America. At number seven we have the horror/thriller Unsane starring Claire Foy .

One more new entry to mention and is a sci-fi classic re-released under the “Secret Cinema” label, I’m of course referring to Blade Runner: The Final Cut. This really is the best version of the film and if you have a chance to see this on the big screen you really should. For those who can’t pick up the Blu-ray version, you can see our review of that here.
