Deadpool 2 takes a very impressive £12.9m that will no doubt please 20th Century Fox. That all means that Avengers: Infinity War slips to number two with box office takings of over £2m million resulting in gross to date figures of over £64 million in the UK. Elsewhere animated adventure Sherlock Gnomes drops one place to three.
One new release that fails to make this week’s top 10 films is On Chesil Beach which can only manage number eleven with takings of just £67K. Blade Runner: The Final Cut continues to do well under its Secret Cinema release taking a rather impressive £226K.
