Let me first answer that question I posed above. No there is no new number one this week as Lady Gaga’s musical drama A Star is Born remains at the top taking over £2.88m from 663 cinemas. That means the new Halloween film starring Jamie Lee Curtis has to settle for the number two slot and box office takings of £2.65m from 533 locations.

Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween is a new entry at three managing £2.1m from 526 cinemas. Meanwhile fellow new entry Hunter Killer starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman could only manage number eight on the UK film charts. That said it was only shown in 356 locations and had takings of £368k.
