Clearly the music of Queen is still a huge draw as Bohemian Rhapsody enters the UK film charts at number one this week and in doing so displacing another huge music icon Lady Gaga. There was also one other new entry so let’s take a closer look at the UK box office; these are the UK top 10 film charts 26 October 2018.

Bohemian Rhapsody takes a massive £9.53m from 659 cinemas which is highly impressive and is no doubt down to many wanting to hear the excellent catalogue of songs the band have. Lady Gaga slips to number two with her musical drama A Star is Born but still manages £2.15m from 634 cinemas and has gross to date figures of £19.23m after four weeks.
Film distributor 20th Century Fox has two films in the UK top 10 with number one Bohemian Rhapsody and seventh placed film The Hate U Give. The latter film managing a creditable £911k from 368 cinemas.
