Powerhouse Films under their Indicator label has yet another intriguing boxset is now due for release in November 2022 having slipped for a second time from September and then October. Universal Noir #1 contains 6 film noirs.
I’ve to admit I do love a good film noir crime thriller so I’ll be sure to take a close look at this upcoming new release.

The Web (1947) is a crime film noir directed by Michael Gordon. It stars Ella Raines, Edmond O’Brien, William Bendix and Vincent Price.
Larceny (1948) directed by George Sherman, stars John Payne, Joan Caulfield, Dan Duryea and Shelley Winters.
Kiss the Blood Off My Hands (1948) directed by Norman Foster / Robert Siodmak. The cast includes Joan Fontaine, Burt Lancaster and Robert Newton.
Abandoned (1949) directed by Joseph M. Newman stars Dennis O’Keefe, Gale Storm and Jeff Chandler.
Deported (1950) is by director Robert Siodmak and stars Märta Torén and Jeff Chandler.
Naked Alibi (1954) is a film from director Jerry Hopper and stars Sterling Hayden, Gloria Grahame, Gene Barry and Marcia Henderson.

Powerhouse state that these blu-ray releases are “High Definition presentations of The Web, Larceny, Kiss the Blood Off My Hands, Abandoned, Deported and Naked Alibi”.
