The dreadful Transformers movie fails to hold on to top spot that honour goes to Despicable Me 3 taking a massive $72,434,025. In fact director Michael Bay’s slips to number three as Baby Driver enters in second place with cinema takings of $20,553,320 against Transformers second week takings of $16,880,555.
Elsewhere on the cinema charts sees another new entry with comedy The House entering in sixth position, whilst it’s almost time to say goodbye to those Pirates of the Caribbean as they fail to ten.
Without doubt Universal Pictures are this weeks winner among the film studios / distributors with Despicable Me 3 exceptional first weekend performance.
