No surprise as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales enters the cinema charts at number one with takings of $62,983,253. I must admit I thought it would have taken a little more money but there you have it. The other main release from last week was Baywatch and manages to enter at three with takings of $18,503,871 which is surely better than expected.

It’s nearly time to say goodbye to The Fate of the Furious after 45 days in the top 10 and takings to date of a mind blowing $222,542,930. That said Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 has already taken even more money in only 24 days, an incredible $334,223,048.

Walt Disney is having a great week occupying the top two places on the US cinema chart.
