There are four new movies inside this week’s top 10 box office movies with Universal’s Pacific Rim: Uprising entering at number one with box office takings of $28,116,535. That’s not too bad for a film with no real plot.

The other new entries included Sherlock Gnomes at four, Paul, Apostle of Christ at eight and Midnight Sun lands at number ten. Meanwhile there’s no rise of the Tomb Raider as it falls from two last week down to number five with cinema takings of just $10,102,616. Clearly there’s little love for Alicia Vikander’s new Lara Croft movie.

Taking a quick a look at two new movies that failed to make the top 10 reveals that horror/thriller Unsane starring Claire Foy only managed to make number 11 taking just over $3.7 million whilst Isle of Dogs landed at 15 following a limited release.
