It’s time to check in at the US box office and find out just what are the top 10 movies in America this week. There are three new entries but do we have a new number one? Let’s find out, here are the figures in full for the US Movie Charts August 10 2018.

This week sees a brand new movie occupying the number one spot, yes its Jason Statham’s Jaws style film, The Meg. It managed $45.4m and in doing so knocking Paramount Pictures / Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout into second spot. Disney’s Christopher Robin drops one place to three whilst the comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me falls to six.
There are two more new entries at four and five with Slender Man, $11.3 and BlacKkKlansman $10.8 respectively. One new entry that failed to make it into the top ten is Dog Days which settles for number twelve.
Two movies saying goodbye to the top ten are Walt Disney’s animated adventure Incredibles 2 at (11) and 20th Century Fox’s sci-fi thriller The Darkest Minds (13).
