Every Tuesday we take a quick look at US Top 10 Movie Charts and this week we have yet another new number one and it’s yet another superhero film, this time with Venom. Really are people not bored of the conveyor belt releases that are superhero movies? I like a good one every now and then but Hollywood seems obsessed at the moment. Anyway these are the figures for the US Top 10 Movie Charts October 5 2018.

The aforementioned superhero movie manages a respectable $80m from 4250 movie theaters. There’s also a new entry at number two with the Lady Gaga / Bradley Cooper film A Star is Born. This one managed a rather impressive $44.2m which I’m sure will please distributor Warner Bros.
So what of last week’s number one? Well comedy Night School starring Kevin Hart & Tiffany Haddish drops to number four taking $12.5m from 3019 sites whilst animated adventure Smallfoot slips one place to number two.
Not too much else of interest worth mentioning but next week’s chart will include the Ryan Gosling film First Man although I’d be really surprised if that could topple superhero film Venom. These type of movies are all audiences seem interested at the moment, plus they are making the a studio executives at lot of money. That said it can’t and won’t last forever as people begin to tire of the genre, after all as they say variety is the spice of life.
